2007-08: Scored first professional goal and also posted an assist in a 3-2 win vs. Binghamton on Dec. 28, earning first star honors… Made professional debut Oct. 5 vs. Norfolk.
2006-07: Voted to the QMJHL second-team all-star squad after posting 13 goals and 35 assists for 48 points in 55 games with Cape Breton… Once again represented Latvia at the World Junior Championships… Named the best defenseman in the 2007 World Under-20 Championships, Division 1… Named QMJHL defensive player of the month in October 2006… Appeared in two exhibition games for the Phantoms during the 2006 training camp before being returned to Cape Breton… Signed a three-year entry level contract with the Flyers on Sept. 23… Traded to Cape Breton in the 2006 offseason.
2005-06: Recorded six goals and 25 assists for 31 points and 84 penalty minutes in 54 games for the Moncton Wildcats...In 21 playoff games, posted 10 points (1G, 9A) and 22 penalty minutes as the Wildcats won the QMJHL Regular Season and Playoff Championships and advanced to the Memorial Cup Finals...Played three games as a member of Team Latvia at the 2006 IIHF World Junior Championships...
2004-05: Named to the QMJHL All-Rookie Team and the Canadian Major Junior All-Rookie Team after recording five goals and 19 assists for 24 points and 55 penalty minutes in 62 games. |
